Taiwan is a nightlife paradise. I have absolute confidence in making this statement. The cities are crowded with traffic and people everywhere during the daytime. At night, the night markets have much to offer: food, fun, and games, to name just a few. You can also enjoy the night views, and have fun at trendy pubs, and entertain friends to your heart’s content!
When I was in college, a few of my friends and I enjoyed seeing the night views in Yangmingshan. From there, you can have a bird’s-eye night view of all of Taipei city from Yangde Boulevard on the back hillside of the Chinese Culture University. The diamond-bright night views of Taipei are just as beautiful as those of Hong’s Kong’s Victoria Harbor! Tung Hai University in Taichung and Chai Shan in Kaohsiung are other places famous for beautiful night views. The crowds often get larger later into the night. If you don’t have time to go up the mountain, Taipei 101 Observatory, Miramar Ferris Wheel, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Keelung, and Tuntex Sky Tower Kaohsiung all offer excellent bird’s-eye city views. These places are your best choice for some quality romantic times with your partner.
If you like peace and quiet, you can’t miss Taipei Eslite Book Store, which is open around the clock, this is the favorite cozy corner of the legendary writer, Arai Hifumi, also the Hong Kong-based special correspondent of “Asia Weekly” and “Asahi Shimbun,” Japan’s largest newspaper. She once said, “If I have one hour of spare time, the only place I want to go to is the Eslite Book Store.” Every night you will see locals, tourists and lovers gathering there, enjoying quality reading time. Any time you go, you may see a group of curious tourists looking around. Trust me, tTaipei book lovers are not the only ones passionately in love with the Taipei Eslite Book Store. Taiwan is more beautiful later into the night. You can feel it with just one visit! |
