Hi, from taoyuan airport take a taxi to taichung is estimate how much and est time taken, another alternative is how to travel fm airport by bus to taoyuan HSR station and the est time taken fm airport to taoyuan station, another question i would like to ask, is mid aug going ailsan suitable? Taxi from Taoyuan Airport to Taichung will cost around NT$2500-3000 per way. It will take around 1.5 hour more or less. From Tauyuan airport there are frequent bus services to the HSR station, which will take only 15mins to get there.
August is a good time to visit the Alishan because in the mountains, the weather will be cool. However it's also a typhoon-proned season. You can try your luck.
