Hi,
Would like to enquire if the Alishan Forest Railway connecting chiayi to alishan is still closed as of 20/5/2012?
Also, it seems that there is no longer a direct bus from Sun Moon Lake to Alishan Forest Recreation Area?

The train is not in service, i think. Between Alishan to Sun Moon Lake, Yuanlin Bus Company does operate a direct service, however the service is not very frequent (only twice a day.) Check here for further information: http://www.taiwantrip.com.tw/Package/Info/?trips_id=41
