Sounds are vibrations traveling through air. They are intangible and sometimes elusive to careless ears. They are everywhere and transient, often taken for granted as part of everyday life. There are a limitless range of sounds, such as sounds of a tolling church bell, sounds of ringing cell phones, sounds in a rock’n’roll concert, sounds of a peddler, etc. Each of them represents a different aspect of social and cultural characteristics of people in different places. This exhibition explores different possibilities of sounds and encourages children to think about and experience the artistic aspects of sounds, making sounds interesting to them.
